All audiences

Parcoursup 2026 is the French nation-wide pre-enrolment platform for first-year higher education in France. It is operational since December 17, 2025. Registration on the platform is not mandatory for the vast majority of international students; however, Parcoursup provides students with a full and detailed overview of the academic programs options available in France for the 2026 academic intake and allows you to better prepare your study plans. Nearly 25,000 programs are listed on the platform!

What is Parcoursup?

Parcoursup is the French national admissions platform for first-year higher education programs in France. The pre-enrolment process is mandatory for French students, but only applies to international students in specific cases

  • European students who want to enrol in the first year of a bachelor’s degree (licence);
  • Non-European students who obtained a baccalauréat from a French high school and want to continue higher education in France;
  • International students applying to certain selective programs (IUT, BTS, CPGE, art and design degrees, etc.).

For students concerned, registration and the submission of study choices (vœux) open on January 19, 2026.

Your best information platform

Parcoursup offers a single-point entry and user-friendly format for presenting academic programs. Students can thus quickly identify essential information. For each program, a detailed factsheet provides key data, such as:

  • legal status of the institution (public, private under contract with the government, or fully private);
  • any accreditation or official recognition by the French Ministry of Higher Education;
  • possibility of adapted programs (for example, for students with disabilities);
  • exact title and academic contents of degrees obtained;
  • tuition fees;
  • application review criteria, helping applicants assess their chances of admission;
  • potential career outcomes and typical salary levels after graduation.

An interactive map of programs by type of training course or field of study, and geographic area, lets users refine their search and access all of this information. A comparison tool, highly valued by users, is also available to compare training courses. Finally, a regularly updated FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) is integrated into the platform, along with tutorials explaining how Parcoursup works, particularly for the pre-enrolment process.
