How to apply if you are not European or living in a country affected by the “Etudes en France” procedure
Non-European students not affected by the "Etudes en France" procedure must submit a "Demande d'Admission Préalable - DAP" (preliminary request for admission) to enrol in the first year of a training at “Licence” (Bachelor's) degree course apply on the "Mon Master" platform for a Master's application. For other levels, they must contact the relevant institution.
Applying in first year
If you are not European and you do not reside in one of the countries affected by the "Etudes en France" procedure, you must follow the "Demande d'Admission Préalable - DAP" (Preliminary request for admission) procedure to continue your studies in France from the first year of training at “Licence” (Bachelor's) degree course.
Applications must be sent to the department of cooperation and cultural action at the French Embassy in your country of residence. The white files concern enrolment in first-year university, the yellow for first year in a school of architecture, and the green files are for international students already living in France.
Complete the procedure as soon as possible. Ideally, in November preceding the academic year in which you wish to study in France. Regularly check your personal account on the Campus France website to avoid missing deadlines.

- Registrations open on 1st October 2025
- Registrations close on 15 December 2025
Your application will be examined at the same time by the 3 universities you have requested.
- University response and proposals for acceptance : before 30 April 2026
If it occurs, universities will share with you exemptions from which you may benefit.
- Student response : before 31 May 2026
If you have received several acceptance proposals, you will have to make a choice.
Attention, if you do not answer before 31 May, the absence of answer will be condidered as a refusal.
How to register for a Master's programme?
To register for a national Master's degree, these students must apply via the Mon Master platform. It lists the national Master's degrees awarded by accredited higher education establishments, i.e. over 3,500 Master's degrees and 8,000 pathways to access them.

Enrolling in Bachelor's and Doctorate programmes
To enrol for a Bachelor's or Doctorate programme, contact the institutes of higher education that interest you. Check the Campus France catalogues to obtain their contact information. The institutes will inform you of their enrolment application procedure.
If your application is accepted, you will receive a document confirming your admission. From that point on, you will be able to undertake the procedures with the French Consulate in your country of residence to obtain a visa.
